Most sessions will leave your muscles feeling like they worked out within 24-48 hours.
Common Goals: Enhance athletic performance, Injury prevention, Faster muscle recovery, Improve circulation, Pain relief, Joint mobility
Who would Benefit: Generally people who participate in active lifestyles or athletic activities and experience muscular discomfort or repetitive injury seek the targeted therapeutic effects of this massage
Rebalancing Energy Therapy
Relaxation Rating: ★★★★★
What is it: Just like our physical anatomy, we have energetic anatomy (chakras, meridian lines, etc). Like how the physical anatomy can fall out of balance from stressors like repetitive motions, unexpected impacts, etc., the energetic system can also fall out of balance. This can often happen from emotional imbalance, trauma, stress, and even physical imbalance (yes! the physical and energetic systems are intertwined). “Energy Work” is a broad commonly used term for different modalities that aim to rebalance the energy system. Here we use Reiki, basic polarity therapy, crystal work, and chakra/aura balancing.
Common Goals: Physical and mental relaxation, mood improvement, clearing blockages and reestablishing a balanced system, restoring vitality for daily life, moving old energy of emotional wounds, deepening self awareness
Who would Benefit: People who need stress or pain relief but do not like touch modalities (energy work does not require touch),
Cupping (Add On)
Relaxation Rating: Some people find this very relaxing while others find it painful yet therapeutic
What is it: Traditional massage uses compression to help realign the muscular tissues, cupping gives us the ability to use decompression. Think of dysfunctional (injured, chronically tight, etc.) muscle tissue as many layers of crinkled and tangled plastic “Saran Wrap”. Cupping separates the skin, fascial, and muscular tissues creating space for tissues to move freely and properly while also drawing fresh blood to the area creating a very healing effect. Depending on the person and type of cupping, it allows us to reach much deeper tissues with less discomfort (despite the potential bruises that can happen!)
Common Goals: Deep tissue decompression (creating space and separate stuck layers), injury recovery, bring oxygen to the area to create a healing effect on the tissues and leave lasting results, improve range of motion, comfortably address adhesion, deep relaxation
Who would Benefit: Active adults, people with current or old injuries, chronic pain sufferers, office workers (professionals who have little movement day-to-day in their job), people with high stress lives
Himalayan Hot Stone (Add On)
Relaxation Rating: ★★★★★
What is it: This is a partial or full body add on to a massage! These “stones” are made from Himalayan salt and heated up and applied during massage to help achieve deep muscular relief, circulation, and profound relaxation
Common Goals: Relaxation, Muscular relief, Stress relief, Circulation, Improved sleep
Who would Benefit: Anyone who loves cozy warm and deeply relieving massages, people who need deep muscular relief but prefer a lighter pressure, anyone looking for a more effective massage through an enjoyable modality
KT Taping (Add On)
Relaxation Rating: ☆☆☆☆☆ (No rating unless you personally find tape application relaxing!)
What is it: The use of cotton tape that mimics natural qualities of human skin to help support proper movement of muscles and joints while increasing circulation.
Common Goals: Prolonged relief post massage (3-5 days with showers), decompress the fascial layers, increase fluid drainage, activating the nervous system in a way that decreases pain signals and increases proprioception (your awareness of where your body is in space), overall better functional movement patterns, injury prevention and recovery
Who Would Benefit: Active individuals, Athletes, Office workers, Chronic pain sufferers, Clients with recent injuries, swelling, or bruising, pregnant clients, anyone who’s daily lifestyle may mitigate the effects of a massage directly after and wants prolonged relief
